Fairy Maiden Eva's Human
Garden
This is a great flower for beginners who are
just learning how to garden. There are many
wonderful things about this plant. Not only do
they look beautiful in your flower bed, but the
flowers, leaves and pods are all edible! They
make a great addition to your summer salads and
can also be used as garnish in your ice tea!
Nasturtium is high in vitamin C and can also be
used as a pepper substitute. The nasturtium
seed pods can be pickled and used for a
substitute for capers.
Nasturtiums have a soft sweet scent, but yet a
peppery taste. This flower also attracts
hummingbirds. The magick of the plant is
usually associated with Ostara. The Renaissance
herbalist John Gerard considered nasturtium to
be a kind of cress but it is not related to
cress. This is a colonial plant that has been
grown in the US since at least 1759. The
flowers were a favorite of the Victorians.
Nasturtiums are good to use in ritual work that
requires an increase of energy or for rites
meant to burn away aspects of the self.
Nasturtium is antibiotic, antifungal,
antiviral, and antibacterial due to the
mustard oils in the plant. Chewing the
leaves is a good way to disinfect one's
mouth. The leaves are also very tasty in
potato salad or egg salad and on cream
cheese sandwiches. They're a means for
boosting appetite and stimulating digestion.
The flowers are less peppery; and make an
excellent flavoring (and coloring) for
vinegar.

Nasturtiums and Marigolds!

Deep Lemon Perfume
-by MoonSongstress
This is a delicious fragrance and the
Lemongrass makes it good for divination.
Ingredients: Essential oils
Cedarwood - 6 drops
Lavender - 30 drops
Rosemary - 20 drops
Cypress - 30 drops
Lemongrass - 30 drops
Alcohol base - Vodka
Method:
Add the essential oils drop by drop into a
small measuring jug.
When all the essential oil is in the jug
measure its Total volume.
Take the total volume of essential oil to be
"1 part".
Add 4 parts vodka.
This means that the perfume will be 20%
essential oil
And 80% vodka which is a light, wearable
concentration.
Shake well before each
use - the essential oil sits on
Top of the vodka so it
all needs to be mixed together
